Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush
It's crazy how people can act so well. I am a person that you can read my emotions on my face. whatever I'm feeling, you will be sure to know. Two of One Tree Hill's most famous characters- Lucus Scott and Brooke Davis- got married early in the series. In the actual television series, they dated, but in real life is where the relationship flourished. They ended up getting married, but Bush wanted an annulment only five months into the marriage. The annulment was declined, but they were sure to get divorced in 2006. To say the least, their relationship took a turn for the worst after the divorce. They put on a happy face and continued the 9 season series while and after the divorce was going down. I am surprised that people have such an unimaginable capability of acting as if they are best friends eventhough they are not getting whatsoever in real life. I could never fake it as long as they had to, but I guess that shows maturity. They were just kids when they got married and from an article I read, Sophia regrets it with her whole heart. However, as I said, they got through it and continued the show for their fellow cast members. Chad Michael Murray does not have a say on the subject, or at lease in the article I read. Also, I am not sure how reliable ENews necessarily is, but I was interested in the article seeing that it involved characters from my favorite television series.

THE FLOOD
Regional or Global?
It amazes me that there is such a debate about the flood. Growing up, the story I've always learned is that there was a worldwide flood and all things died except Noah, his family, and two of every animal. Noah was told by God to build an ark which would save them, and he did. I've always lived in my little TCA bubble, but lately multiple point of views have been brought to my attention. I had never realized how many different views of the bible there really are. Having been brought up believing Global, I don't think I'll be changing my mind anytime soon. However, I will not initiate or prolong an argument based on whether it is Regional or Global. In my opinion, I do not think it truly matters. Yes, this could be an excuse because I honestly don't know, but that's okay with me. I do not know all the answers to all the Biblical controversies, but there a few that cannot be disagreed with. When it comes to the flood, I think it should be our primary goal to focus on what we know. God sent the flood -whether in one little region or over the entire world- as a sign that we are a decrepit and evil land. We were living against God's will and needed an eye-opener. I believe that no matter how large or small the flood was, we need to remember that it was not just to clear out the lands. It was to teach us a lesson which I think can be agreed by all perspectives. Also, God sent the rainbow as a covenant to remind us He would never do it again, and He has flooded regions before. That kind of makes me think that it was Global..

PLAGIARISM
How would you respond if you were convicted of plagiarism?
Honestly, it depends on if I actually did it or not. If I had plagiarized, I would speak up and admit it. However, if I was being accused of something I hadn't done then I would be furious. I would feel as if my school does not trust me. I would understand being questioned, but when we say we didn't do something, I expect them to believe me, unless they can prove otherwise.
How would your parents respond?
I believe my parents would believe me first and foremost. I think they would read my paper or project or whatever it may be then give their opinion. My parents aren't the ones to argue with the administration. However, I believe if the administration blatantly went against me without any "trial" then they would be upset. On the other hand, I would have to prove whether or not I did plagiarize before they took any action.
Do you feel as if you deserve a passing grade because your parents pay tuition?
Not at all do I believe I deserve a passing grade. I think I deserve teachers that are willing to help me and guide me in my studies. I think that since my parents are making such an immense sacrifice to send me to TCA and pay for my education that I should be willing to work hard for a good grade. When my parents pay for my education, I deserve a good one. I deserve teachers that are willing to support and help me when I need it, but I do not expect/deserve to pay for good grades.
Does this story affect your view of plagiarism?
The main thing this story pointed out to me about plagiarism was how big of a deal it really is. I've always known that it isn't right, but I didn't realize how much of a deal people make out of it. people lose their jobs and fail classes just because of one mistake.
What do you takeaway from this narrative?
An obvious lesson I learned is that I am never going to intentionally plagiarize. It's crazy to me to hear how much it really matters. Another thing I realized is that we are not all perfect. I do not agree with how the school handled the situation at all. I'm not going to say anything like "Schools administrations don't know what they're doing," but it did make me realize that they do not know the answers to everything. I'm sure TCA thinks they're doing right in all the decisions they make, and that they are trying to keep in mind what's best for everyone. However, they won't always make decisions that we all agreee with.

THE BACHELOR
Most Hated Bachelor??
Most every American citizen can say they have at least heard of the ABC television series 'The Bachelor.' It is mainly viewed by women of all ages. It is entertaining to watch twenty-four women fight for the love of one man. The makers of this series never fail to choose a good-looking, interesting guy to be that season's bachelor. This season's Bachelor is Juan Pablo Galavis. He is from Venezuala, and, while his accent brings an attractive aspect to him, it has also gotten him in trouble. He has received much harsh criticism when it comes to comments he makes. For example, he has retweeted specific, offensive, tweets pertaining to homosexuals and people with special needs. Each of these comments have caused much uproar all across America. He continuously defends himself by 'blaming it on cultural differences.' Yes, I agree that what he retweets can be found immature and rude, but I would not judge him entirely on those perspectives. Fox News even blamed comments such as these to be why "two women have left the competition, proclaiming they didn’t want to date him." I watched the 'Women Tell All' episode of the 'The Bachelor' this past week and one of the two women stood up for Juan Pablo. I believe that Mr. Galavis made a mistake by the comments he associated himself with because he should know he is being watched by women all over America. However, I will never truly know what he meant by the comments, so I have no place to assume anything by his character.

ENDLESS LOVE
This Year's Valentines Movie
On Valentines Day this year, the movie to see was "Endless Love." I went to see it with my friend Celeste Pate, and we loved it! Unknown when I went to see it, it's a remake of a 1981 "Endless Love." Critics say that it wasn't necessary to remake the beloved 1981 movie, but that the director Shana Feste did a very nice job. She didn't do too much or too little. The movie is about a somewhat forbidden romance. Two teenagers go through high school having never met, but they begin dating the day after graduation. Jade is the main female character, and her brother died while she was in high school so she never lived out the full experience. David makes it worth while during the summer while they are dating, giving her the best summer she had had in a while. The dad doesn't think David is a good influence on his daughter because he isn't planning to go to college yet has an impeccable SAT score. However, Jade's mom adores David and thinks he is a great guy for her. David and Jade continue their forbidden relationship with flying colors. It is rare, but they do have some rocky moments. the father even got a restraining order against David causing Jade to go off to college while he stays in their small town. A semester into college, she comes back, meets David, and they run off together to watch her other older brother elope. when they get back in town, suspenseful events occur and they all live happily ever after...

THE CREATION DEBATE
"I Still Believe in God"
I agree with Michael J. Murray more than I expected to. I just think it does not matter as much anymore. Creation plays a role in the Bible, but I do not see it as the defining line between Christians and Evolutionists. I appreciate the fact that Murray acknowledges other people's views, but he doesn't let it affect him. I want to be the type of person that can listen to whatever anyone has to say about a topic, yet not get frustrated when it isn't exactly like mine. I am planning to live a life of living as Christ rather than arguing about how we got here on earth. Yes, how we came into existence matters, but it is not a necessity in your faith. I am a Christian that does not enjoy arguing over minute parts in Scripture. I appreciate hearing the fact that Ham and Nye argued in a civilized manner because if there comes a situation in which you cannot void an argument, it needs to be controlled and relaxed. We should never offend the other person or yell in an immature manner. There is much more to life than how we got here. The fact is that we are here, and we need to live every moment as if it could be our last.

TCA HOMECOMING
Best School Week of the Year
Twice a year the students at Trinity Christian Academy get the joy of dressing up to specific themes for a week. At the end of this week we get to celebrate with the Homecoming Game. We have them for basketball and football, and they are always surprising. The basketball dress up days were as follows: Monday- Cartoon Character Day
Tuesday- Animal Day
Wednesday- Preppy Day
Thursday- Celebrity Day
Friday- Spirit Day
It is always entertaining to see how everyone reacts to the different days. This year has been one of the best! It has been surprising to see the different spin that the senior class has put on each day; they have really stepped up and become a great leading class. After preparing all week, I believe each and every person that has any relation to Trinity is ready to cheer on their Lions and Lady Lions tonight against the Jackson Christian Eagles and Lady Eagles. Whether you're a Little Lion or Alumni, you want to be at this game. The Homecoming festivities begin at 5:30 with the Homecoming Court Representatives. The girls' tipoff will follow at 6, and that's when the anxiety begins. We will fill the stands with suspenseful spirits and racing hearts as the games begin.
