Best School Week of the Year
Twice a year the students at Trinity Christian Academy get the joy of dressing up to specific themes for a week. At the end of this week we get to celebrate with the Homecoming Game. We have them for basketball and football, and they are always surprising. The basketball dress up days were as follows: Monday- Cartoon Character Day
Tuesday- Animal Day
Wednesday- Preppy Day
Thursday- Celebrity Day
Friday- Spirit Day
It is always entertaining to see how everyone reacts to the different days. This year has been one of the best! It has been surprising to see the different spin that the senior class has put on each day; they have really stepped up and become a great leading class. After preparing all week, I believe each and every person that has any relation to Trinity is ready to cheer on their Lions and Lady Lions tonight against the Jackson Christian Eagles and Lady Eagles. Whether you're a Little Lion or Alumni, you want to be at this game. The Homecoming festivities begin at 5:30 with the Homecoming Court Representatives. The girls' tipoff will follow at 6, and that's when the anxiety begins. We will fill the stands with suspenseful spirits and racing hearts as the games begin.

GOSSIP GIRL
The Other's Lifestyle
Gossip Girl is one of TV's hottest new shows. This six season series has already aired on television, but that's not stopping many girls from having a new Netflix addiction. It is a story based on characters living in the Upper Eastside of New York. There's romance, murder, scandals, and so much gossip! A few of the main characters involve Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf), Blake Lively (Serena Vanderwoodsen), Penn Badgley (Dan Humphrey), Chase Crawford (Nate Archibald), and Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass). They all play major roles in this entertaining series. Yes, most people will look at this show and see all the worldy, acts by the characters, but there are also some great life lessons. It gives girls the idea that we can be independent. We do not have to have a guy to accomplish everything we want in life, but it is a great addition... In the show, majority of the characters live lives that I can only dream of. Millions of dollars, fancy clothes, extravagant parties, and much more consume their everyday life. However the show does express the multiple heartaches that come with that lifestyle. There is always something going wrong. If they are to make one mistake, the entire Upper Eastide area will know about it. It can relate to the life of almost any viewer. The drama is exactly what draws every girl into this series. We want to know who ends up with who, and how it all goes down in the end. It's the perfect girl show.

TCA Volleyball
TCA 2013 VOLLEYBALL:
The TCA lady lions high school volleyball team was a surprising one this year. the school has had a history of being talented when it comes to this sport, but losing their leader, Hannah Grider, and coach, Lydia Dodrill, was thought to take some recuperation. however, the girls surprised us. They gained an incredible asset: Kelly Elliott, new head coach. Elliott had a team consisting of over half that had never played on the varsity team, and she made miracles happen on that court. She worked them hard and had faith in them. The team was lead by Clare Taylor with her impeccable hitting abilities and surprising humility. They worked as a team and accomplished the unthinkable: winning fourth in the state tournament. No one knows what to expect of the upcoming year. The surprising little team won't be losing any players, so an impressive year is to be expected. Hopefully the girls won't let us down.
